Inspired by Helsinki Design Week 2026's theme The Oncoming Other, The Corner presents a week-long programme exploring the encounters that shape our everyday lives. Through people, ideas, flavours, and stories, we examine how connections are formed and how communities emerge through shared experiences.
For the past year, The Corner has been a place where paths cross, conversations begin, and relationships grow. Throughout the week, we explore the meaning of encounter through three events: a creative workshop for children and families, a gathering around food and design, and the celebration of The Corner's first anniversary.
Together, these events invite participants to embrace curiosity, exchange perspectives, and discover new ways of connecting with others.
