The FDS Award competition, looking for new design products for Finnish homes, is open until the end of the month.
The aim of FDS Award is to design a product for home, that can be sold in the Finnish Design Shop webstore. The competition is open for all designers, design students and other design-oriented people who wish to participate either alone or as a part of a group.
With the competition, Finnish Design Shop wishes to encourage designers to commercialize new ideas. Finnish Design Shop does not manufacture the products, but will help the winners find a manufacturer for their ideas.
The product can be for example a piece of furniture, a kitchen product or some other interior design product.
The prize for the competition is 10 000 euros, which will be divided between the three best ideas.
FDS Award was launched last September, and the propositions can be sent 31 January at the latest.
The winners will be announced first of March. The jury consists of Ilkka Suppanen, Joanna Laajisto, Torbjørn Anderssen, Espen Voll, Teemu Suviala and Teemu Kiiski.
