Helsinki Design Trust – HDW at the City Hall
The main venue of Helsinki Design Week 2018 is the City Hall of Helsinki. How is trust seen between the city and its residents? What do Helsinki people have trust in? How can we use design to build trust? We seek answers to these questions as Helsinki Design Week takes over the lobby of the City Hall, filling it with exhibitions, discussions and workshops.

Discussion: An Attractive and Livable Helsinki City Centre
The vitality of the city centre is being developed in collaboration with the local business community and with residents. Ten design agencies have also been asked to weigh in on the matter and to compose different ideas on how to increase the coziness and functionality of the city. World Summit on Digital Built Environment WDBE 2018
The World Summit on Digital Built Environment WDBE 2018 will bring the forerunners of built digital environments to Finlandia House. The event is for any actors in the field, including builders, designers, producers, owners and administrators. Speakers and administrators are expected to participate from over 15 countries. The DAMY Talks – Discussion MY – DA
Friends of the Design and Architecture Museum (DAMY) will organize an open discussion called ‘DAMY Talks’ with the theme of shared values and shared responsibilities. For instance, discussions include topics such as what kind of built cultural surroundings and object world do we want in the future? Participatory Spaces – Design Tools in Developing Socially Accessible Spaces

Tiny House Fair – Bus Tour and Workshop
Tiny houses have become a worldwide movement, as the tendency is towards smaller families and more sustainable living. Finnish architects and designers have created practical, ecological and interesting buildings that deserve attention. Dodo’s tiny house bus tour showcases buildings that are designed as suitable for dwelling in all year round. They are near the capital region. Participation fee 10€.
