This exhibition celebrates the dialogue between traditional French craftsmanship and contemporary design innovation. It features works by French designers studying at Aalto University and by Finnish designer Jaana Reinikainen, whose monumental piece ‘Trésor’ — previously displayed in President Emmanuel Macron’s office at the Élysée Palace in Paris — was commissioned by the prestigious Mobilier National and woven by the talented craftspeople of the century-old Gobelins Manufacture in Paris. Hosted in the new premises of the French Institute in Finland, the exhibition not only highlights the richness of French design and creativity but also fosters connections between cultures and across generations of makers, in France and Finland.
