Sketching Course Inspired by Marie-José Van Hee – hosted by Aalto+Aalto

In this sketching course inspired by Marie-José Van Hee, you will learn to visualize and communicate architecture and space. The course opens up the possibilities of sketching through various exercises, using hand-drawing tools and techniques. You will learn observation skills, visual note-taking, and explore different sketching methods.

Celebrating the Everyday – Marie-José Van Hee’s Architecture in Dialogue with Aalto

This dialogue brings together architects Sam De Vocht and Sofia Nivarti to explore the connections between the work of renowned Belgian architect Marie-José Van Hee and Alvar, Aino, and Elissa Aalto. Marie-José Van Hee was awarded the prestigious Alvar Aalto Medal in 2024 as its 15th recipient.

Join us for a woven color collage workshop guided by a professional – alone or with a friend! In this workshop, you will learn to create a textile weave with deliciously colorful yarns. The session begins with a brief introduction to highlights of the exhibition, followed by the weaving workshop in the studio.
