Open House Helsinki 2025
Mandatory registration required to visit locations and attend walking tours.
Open House Helsinki will once again open doors to places you can’t normally go to! Open House Helsinki Festival will be held from 11th to 14th September, as the popular event moves back to the autumn, as part of Helsinki Design Week.
This year Open House Helsinki will open doors to Helsinki’s beaches, terraces and towers – the theme of the event is ‘Horizon’. Helsinki’s coastline is over 130 kilometres long, from the bushy beaches of Sipoo to the rocky landscapes of East Helsinki and the built-up urban coastline of the inner city.
Helsinki offers unique views of the horizon.
The horizon can also be understood as a glimpse into the future. What will Helsinki and the new city districts look like? How will the city develop?
Open House Helsinki will once again open doors to the city's most fascinating sites, which are usually off-limits to the public. The program focuses on waterfront areas where layers from different eras complement each other. This year, guided walking tours will also be organized, opening up perspectives on architecture and urban planning. The program will be announced on August 28th and registration opens on September 1st.
