TOIVO takes over the Länsimetro

The Outsider Art Festival’s TOIVO exhibition is on view at Länsimetro stations until 21 September 2026. Across three stations, three artists’ drawings, linocuts and mixed media at giant scale – in this autumn’s busiest gallery!

Espoonlahti – Juha Pesonen
Tampere-based image-maker and thinker, mapping out the human aspects of life. An ITE and outsider artist.

Aalto University – Mikael Valjakka
Visual artist at the Kaarisilta Art Studio in Lahti; his linocuts turn animals into sympathetic companions.

Tapiola – Riina Noro
At the Autism Foundation’s art studio since 2013; explores societal themes without losing sight of the individual. Kettuki’s Artist of the Year 2023.

Inclusively curated by the OAF working group with graphic designer Klaus Welp. Also in OAF’s Virtual Gallery: outsiderart.fi/online-stage

In collaboration with: Outsider Art Festival, Pertin Valinta, KulttuuriEspoo, Länsimetro, Novela, Virtual Art Gallery.

The Outsider Art Festival (OAF), founded in 2019, is an urban festival created by outsider artists themselves— a bold and distinctive event that is doing pioneering work to advocate for the rights of artists operating on the margins. OAF gives a voice to a multidisciplinary group of artists in the fields of music, performing arts, visual arts, film, and literature.
