The largest design festival in the Nordics, Helsinki Design Week is looking for a tenant to lease a well-lit and spacious office space at the old customs warehouse property in Katajanokka, Helsinki. Two large arched windows create an atmosphere of old industrialism, and the ceiling is five metres high.
We’re looking for a tenant with whom HDW can collaborate and whose expertise we can complement. The space of 300 sqm in total has been divided into two units, one of which is reserved for Helsinki Design Week. The offices have open views and entries in between.
The space of 100 sqm to lease can comfortably fit a team of about 10 people. The space can be made bigger by a room of about 30 sqm that is currently used as a meeting room. We’ll be sharing 1 to 2 meeting rooms, two toilets and a modern, fully equipped kitchen.
The building representing new renaissance style was completed in 1901. It was designed by well-known architect Gustaf Nyström (1856–1917), who has also designed the Old Market Hall, the Winter Garden, the Design Museum and the House of the Estates in Helsinki.
Helsinki Design Week moved into the premises in 2013 together with a design agency that is now moving out in the end of July at the latest. Founded by Kari Korkman in 2005, HDW employs 10 persons.
