Discussion: What do Arabia's design history and today's Purkutaide have in common?

Tuesday 9th of September at 5 pm
Arabia135, Hämeentie 135 A, 8th floor

Is there anything in common between the approach of the artist of the Purkutaidenäyttely and the designer of Arabia towards their own work? Is the idea of the experiencer, user or person ultimately the same? Is there something in common in relation to the environment and the world more broadly? What about the exhibitions and works in the block?

The discussion attempts to understand and learn new things about different approaches to design and art. The Arabia Museum from the Arabia135 block, the Better World Purkutaidenäyttely and the Sirahviportti work by the Arabia Art Department Association are represented.

Discussants
Elise Simonsson, Arabia Museum
Jouni Väänänen, Better World Exhibition, Purkutaide
Heini Riitahuhta, Sirahviportti, Arabia Art Department Association
