Welcome to celebrate the opening of KAAOSSTUDIO at the historic Atelje Carlstedt! Expect opening festivities, music, drinks, and the chance to explore the atelier house — as well as very short talks and toasts to a freshly opened workspace.

KAAOSSTUDIO is a gym for creativity skills. It emerges at a time when individuals, organisations and societies are urgently searching for ways to renew themselves and find hope. We need both the space and the capacity to face chaos and uncertainty: not with fear, but with imagination and creativity.

Program:
Opening fanfare
DJ Keisteri, 7–9 PM
Drinks & talks
Exploring the gym for creativity skills
Opening of collaborative artworks

KAAOSSTUDIO works in Finnish, Swedish and English.

The studio is easily reached by public transport from Matinkylä Metro Station (buses 520 and 531), or by bike along Espoo’s scenic Waterfront Walkway.

Please leave your car by the roadside rather than driving onto the property or into the courtyard. The atelier is part of a private home and located on a private road, and we would like to honour the peace and privacy of the family who lives there.

KAAOSSTUDIO is a gym for creativity skills — a place where imagination is amplified and mistakes become raw material. Opening in August 2026 in the beautiful atelier house of the late artist Birger Carlstedt in Espoo, Finland KAAOSSTUDIO invites people and companies to explore and build creativity as a critical human capability. The studio brings together individuals and organisations of all kinds. KAAOSSTUDIO emerges at a time when people, organisations and societies are urgently searching for ways to renew, and to find hope. It is a space to face uncertainty not with fear, but with imagination and creativity. For all of us, but especially for young people.
