What is Finnish toy design like? Well, for example, something like the legendary Kurkkumopo! Do you remember the Kurkkumopo from the Plasto toy factory? The Helsinki Design Week event at Leikki - The Museum of Play celebrates the Kurkkumopo, which was created in the early 1970s, as a unique utility object, a game that tickles the nostalgia nerves of several generations, and toy design as a subgenre of design. The Kurkkumopo carnival offers a fun program for the whole family. Complete the Kurkkumopo driving license, craft different Kurkkumopos, participate in the Kurkkumopo toy memorabilia collection and go on a Kurkkumopo hunt. In addition, an interesting Toy Design & Nostalgia panel discussion will be held on the stage of Museo Leikki and photographs of the Kurkkumopo from different decades will be presented. The event is being held in collaboration with Tactic Games and Plasto.
