The Association of Southeast Finland´s Craft Artists Täky ry exhibits works by its members in the windows of Taito Shop on South Esplanade and Unioninkatu in September. Täky´s members are professionals in crafts and design; working in fields such as textiles, weaving, glass, jewelry, ceramics, and metalwork. The juried sales exhibition will feature items from several members, including jewelry, accessories, everyday objects, as well as interior design items.
Taito Shop is open Mon-Fri 10–18, Sat. 10–17.
The Association of Southeast Finland´s Craft Artists Täky operates the Täky Gallery, the only gallery and shop in the region specializing in arts, crafts, and design, situated in Lappeenranta's Old Town. The association, which has been operating for over 40 years, currently has around 40 members. The members are professionals in fields such as textiles, weaving, glasswork, jewelry, pottery, and metalwork.
The gallery presents art and design in monthly rotating exhibitions. For 20 years, the invitation-only exhibition series Muotoilusyksy has been organized every autumn.
In addition to the store and gallery, Täky's premises also have five artisan workshops.
In 2023, Täky received the Taike Regional Special Award for its long and distinguished work in the field of design.
