Design workshops for families
A Design Workshop for families will be held at Design Museum on a Saturday each month with the museum offering engaging activities and things to do for visitors of all ages.
Find inspiration and design together with the museum staff. Colour postcards and carve round shapes of your own from soap. This workshop is for children of school age on their own.

Enjoy the sea
The loveliest way to enjoy Helsinki (or any other city) is by the sea. Rent a SUP board or kayak, take a trip to Vallisaari, an island open to public for the first time in it’s history, or go for a swim from one of the 14 mattolaituri’s Helsinki has.
And if you want to try sauna, try peaceful Kulttuurisauna or free and urban Sompasauna.
Lunchtime concerts in Tori Quarters
Take a break from office work and enjoy a lunch-long holiday. In July Tori Quarters offers a series lunchtime concerts. A well-matched pair of great food and music by Sointi Jazz Orchestra meet in the inner yard of the Helsinki City Hall (between Sofiankatu and Katariinankatu). Conserts are held around noon and are free of charge.

Fiskars Antique Days
The Biggest summer event in Fiskars Village brings antiquities, art, design and vintage to the public. More than 70 exhibitors will be at place with products including furniture, textile and art.
In addition, visit Fiskars Summer Exhibition that introduces altogether 45 different interpretations of the exhibition theme, ”Growth”.

Helsinki Pride 2016
Helsinki Pride is the biggest cultural and human rights event for gender and sexual minorities in Finland. The theme in 2016 is media and culture.
Pride Week is a packed with a rainbow coloured programme, including lectures on current topics, discussions, workshops, art and culture – and of course many awesome dances and parties that continue late into the night. There are events for all ages. Helsinki Pride culminates on Saturday 2 July with the Pride Parade that starts from Senate Square and continues to a Park Party and the closing party in the evening.
