The gala annually awarding Finnish design is now looking for the best design professionals, phenomena and trends. Suggest your favourite and win tickets for two to the Gala.

Muoto Gala (Finnish: Muoto-gaala) rewards the best of design.

This year, it is organized for the 7th time on September 13. For the first time, it is one of the main events of Helsinki Design Week. We would like to invite Weekly readers to decide which Finnish design phenomena, professionals and trends will be awarded in the Gala.

Suggest your favourites for the following categories: Product of the Year, Design Deed of the Year and Internalization before March 9.

Among the participants, we will draw two free tickets to the Muoto Gala held at Clarion Hotel Helsinki in Jätkäsaari.

The winners are chosen by a jury and the Product of the Year will be chosen by public vote. The nominees are presented in the July issue of Koti ja keittiö magazine.

Suggest your favourites in the following categories:

Product of the Year

This category welcomes any product that is particularly commendable by design and functionality. It must be launched on the market during 2016 or 2017 and designed by a Finn or a person or group working in Finland.

Design Deed

This category awards one design achievement or idea that improves peoples’ daily lives or the environment. Design Deed may solve a problem or create something completely new.

Internationalization

The receiver of this award sets a fine example in exporting Finnish design. The nominee must be a Finnish company, community or person who pays attention to good design and has made it internationally by utilizing design. For example, the nominee may have launched a product or service on export markets or advanced the visibility of Finnish design.
