Weekly Tips: What to do in November

In November we participate in design seminars, explore the Californian design culture and maybe venture even outside the city limits. Weekly Tips introduces the most interesting events in town, covering all things design and related.

Duoji vuoigŋa – design from the Sami culture

Sami people conquer the National Museum on the 10th and 11th of November. The two-day event provides a versatile view to the Sami culture and history. Approaching the Sami traditions through women’s roles, this event suits everybody interested in the culture. During the weekend the museum will display poster art by the Suohpanterror group as well as two exhibitions presenting Sami arts and crafts. The museum shop will function as a pop-up store for the Sami arts and crafts association.

Helsinki is not the only place in Finland to discover fascinating works of art. The exhibition will present curiously delightful and thought-provoking works from 23 different artists. An art excursion to Riihimäki – why not?
