Marimekko and global Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo will launch a joint collection available only for a limited period.

The collection is targeted at women, and all patterns have been created by designer Maija Louekari.

“Uniqlo is known throughout the world for its well-designed basic clothing items that fit all. The joint collection by Marimekko and Uniqlo provides us an opportunity to encourage people around the world to express themselves boldly wearing patterns and colours. We are truly excited about the partnership, and we can hardly wait to see how people will implement the collection to embody their own styles and personalities,” says CEO of Marimekko Tiina Alahuhta-Kasko.

The joint collection will be available at Uniqlo stores and webstores in the end of March. It will present nine different designs including tops, dresses, trousers, sneakers and bags.
