The Open Call begins!

Helsinki Design Week is starting to collect the most interesting design events for the upcoming festival. Join us in the making of the 2019 programme!

Planning to arrange an exhibition? An opening party? Are you producing a fashion show or opening the doors of your studio? The event could also be a seminar or a dinner – or something totally different.

The community of event organizers is important to us. As the largest design festival in the Nordics, we wish to stay both responsive and ever-evolving. All feedback and interaction is highly encouraged. During the application period and the curation process of the programme, we wish to be interactive and make use of our collective synergy and shared inspiration. This year, we will give added support if needed to everyone co-organizing the festival with us, both for the first as well as for the 15th time.

This year’s theme is Learning Climate.

We will learn new ways of creating encounters and experiences in a sustainable way. Along with all the Open Call participants, we will look for the best practices for a climate-friendly festival and create an open, encouraging, respectful as well as surprising climate for learning.
