Helsinki Design Week is arranging the 6th Data-Driven Design Day on Tuesday the 8th of September. Due to the exceptional circumstances, the event will be held as a digital conference that can be attended from anywhere in the world.

The theme for the event is “Committed to Excellent Services for Everyone”. Under this headline, there are presentations that offer new perspectives into data-driven design.

“A service designer offers a delicious contradiction. On the one hand, qualitative data, interpretation and intuition, on the other hand, the rationalist, numerical weighting of quantitative data. What is the correct ratio?” writes Lassi Liikkanen (PhD and Lead Product Designer), who is in charge of the conference programme.

During the event, multiple stories from different fields will be heard. The speakers represent some of the most well-known Finnish organizations, such as Kesko, Fortum, Posti (the National Post Office), YLE (The National Broadcasting Company), Sanoma Media Finland, the HSL (the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority) and Helen. There will be some inside stories shared that you won’t hear anywhere else!

Tickets are on sale now! The early bird price €39 (normal price €49) is valid until 15 July 2020. See Facebook event here. You can see some of the presentations from previous years here.
