A PechaKucha Night will take place this week!

The super popular PechaKucha will be held in the great hall of the main building of the University of Helsinki. The tickets are on sale now.

Ten inspiring speakers, ten surprising presentations. The fast-paced PechaKucha format is based on the one created by the Tokyo-based Klein Dytham architecture office, where speakers only have 20 images and 20 seconds for each image. A lot can be said in this amount of time.

In the PechaKucha evenings, wonderful and memorable speeches have been heard, encompassing a range of subjects such as gardens, fonts, the climate crisis, spas, road signs, new materials, structural racism and dessert trends. The speakers are listed here.

Luovi Productions, the company behind Helsinki Design Week and the Fiskars Village Art & Design Biennale, has been organizing these experiential evenings in Helsinki for almost twenty years. The stage of PechaKucha has been set on the stages of the Olympic Stadium, the Bio Rex, the Aalto University campus, the Cable Factory, the central library Oodi and at Torikorttelit. November’s PechaKucha evening is held in the newly renovated Great Hall of the University of Helsinki, and speakers from the fields of both science and art have been invited to the stage.

PechaKucha Night at University of Helsinki Great Hall, Aleksanterinkatu 5. 24 November, from 19:00 to 21:00. After five presentations, we’ll have a short break for drinks.
