Once again the ultra-popular Design Market invites design fans to explore the selection at the Cable Factory. Selected design companies have applicable items to sell, including last-season products, prototypes and items of substandard quality, for example. 

Collectors’ Market

As last year, the Collectors’ Market at the Cable Factory will focus on recycled and unique products. At Collectors’ Market, you’ll hear the stories behind the products in a sales display focusing on hand-picked vintage finds. In the Merikaapelihalli, you’ll find rare items, vintage pieces, and unique objects. Items for sale will include a lamp seen in several Kaurismäki films by set designer Markku Pätilä, and a boudoir set by Professor of Practice and Fashion Journalist Sami Sykkö and many other treasures.

Little Market and Print Market

The whole family is welcome at the Design Market. We are ready to welcome the smallest of the family with toys provided by Tactic at Little Market.  

Please remember that strollers aren’t allowed inside the event space. You can find a convenient stroller park near the M1 door, inside Merikaapelihalli.

In addition, the Design Market features a Print Market section focusing on printed products and publications. Participate in a printing workshop hosted TOKYO ry, Aalto University student organization.

Coffee will be provided by the city favourite, Way Bakery.

Easiest commute to the Cable Factory is by public transport or by bike. If you are coming with a car, please notice that the parking capacity is limited. Nearest parking hall is in Kauppakeskus Ruoholahti.

Small dogs are welcome, but keep in mind it can get busy and crowded.
