The Art of Small
The opening evening will take place on Thursday 13th August at 18:00. Welcome!
What if contemporary art felt less intimidating—something you could actually be part of?
The Art of Small is an artist-led exhibition bringing together 60–70 original contemporary artworks by artists working in Finland across different career stages, disciplines, and backgrounds. In 2026, it is produced by Catalysti – Association of Transcultural Artists in Finland, with Culture Cooperative TIcAS as communications partner, and takes place at Myymälä2 (Uudenmaankatu 23, Helsinki) from 13–29 August 2026.
The Art of Small centres on small-scale works that offer a more immediate, human way into contemporary art and make it easier for first-time collectors to start. You’ll find emerging, mid-career, and established artists in the same space, each with their own way of working, shown side by side. All works are priced under €300 and sold directly through a zero-commission model, meaning every purchase supports the artist directly. Visit The Art of Small 2026 at Myymälä2. Join us for the opening on Thursday 13 August at 18:00, and discover how contemporary art might be your thing when it feels more inviting.
