Milan Design Week 2018

In April, the centre of the Design World is Milan. 

Founded in 1961, Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano is the biggest furniture fair in the world. Over the decades it has expanded throughout the entire city and during the week it’s possible to experience hundreds of design events. Every design district has its’ own character and Helsinki Design Weekly recommends La Triennale Di Milano, the small boutiques of  Brera, the legendary Rossana Orlandi gallery, the former warehouse area of Tortona and the districts of Venture Future and Ventura Centrale.

The HDW team is co-organizing a meeting of the members of World Design Weeks network in La Triennale. After that, a visit to Salone del Mobile is a must, since we can’t wait to see what Nikari, Hanna Anonen and Tero Kuitunen have been up to. We are also looking forward to exploring the Nordic Happiness –installation by Made by Choice. Made by Choice, Asun and Juni Communication & Production are truly embracing the value of collectice creation; the project includes the work of Finarte, Habitare Protoshop, Himmee, Raw Finnish, Innofusor, Lovi, Poiat, Saas Instruments, Secto Design, Soften and Viaminnet. A virtual reality by Zoan will be created in the space designed by Timo Salli.
