Visitor Info
FESTIVAL PROGRAMME
Helsinki Design Week turns twenty this year, and our annual theme is Celebration! Design will be celebrated at nearly one hundred events selected through our open call for entries.
In addition to these, the programme will feature HDW classics such as the Design Market, Design Diplomacy and Open Studios — all of which you can find in the festival calendar.
This year’s main festival venue will be Suomitalo at Lönnrotinkatu 5. Here, we will host the anniversary’s main exhibition and symposium Happiness, curated by Anniina Koivu. The exhibition explores whether happiness can be designed. You can find more information here.
Suomitalo will also host installations inspired by HDW’s Celebration theme, a daily discussion programme, a wine bar, and a Kuurna pop-up restaurant. More details about the programme at Suomitalo can be found here.
EVENT TICKETS AND REGISTRATION
Some events have a limited capacity or, due to their nature, require organisers to know the participants in advance. These events have separate ticket sales and require festival registration. The majority of events, however, are free of charge.
Helsinki Design Week (Luovi Productions) is responsible only for ticket sales and registrations for the main festival events.
Tickets can be purchased via Tiketti here.
Ticket prices include the Tiketti service fee. Tickets can also be purchased at Suomitalo.
