Helsinki City Museum's The unknown Suburb exhibition curators Laura Berger and Panu Savolainen discuss with Vilho Räsänen, who has lived in several suburbs, and Pihlajisto-based activist Anna-Lisa Korhonen about intergenerational and intercultural differences, the evolution of suburbs over time, and why they are proud of their neighborhoods. They will also talk about the kinds of encounters that happen in suburbs and whether community spirit can be built. The event will be held at the Helsinki City Museum on September 5th, from 2 pm to 4 pm, and it is part of the Unknown Suburb exhibition program. Free entry. Welcome!
