In Designmuseo Arabia, the stars of the history of Finnish ceramics and glass art have been gathered in one exhibition. The exhibition’s eye-catcher is a timeline consisting of Arabia coffee cups and Iittala glasses, which always presents four products from each decade. In addition, the exhibition features iconic works by legendary masters of design such as Alvar and Aino Aalto, Kaj Franck, Timo Sarpaneva, Rut Bryk and Tapio Wirkkala. The objects in the museum are part of the Design Museum’s collections. The studios of the artists of the Arabian Art Department Association are located in the same connection.

On this guided tour, you can get to know the design history of Iittala and Arabia and visit the art department. The guided tour lasts about an hour and can accommodate a total of 30 people. The tour is free of charge.

The guided tour is organized by Designmuseo Arabia in cooperation with the Arabia135 block. The Arabia135 block is a central part of the history of Finnish design and industrialization. Today, a unique community of various creative operators and industry students operates in the historic factory block.
